The theme of the International Conference is the History and Archaeology of the Coixtlahuaca Valley in Oaxaca, Mexico from the pre-Hispanic period until the present. It aims to contribute to a better understanding of this important part of Mesoamerica, its cultural heritage and local responses. The results of the conference will be integrated into the presentation of the Lienzo Seler II / Coixtlahuaca II housed in the Ethnologisches Museum Berlin in its future residence Humboldt Forum in the centre of Berlin.
